How we give back

Insurance is a people business, inside and out. Helping Canadians when they need us most is our entire reason for being. So, it makes sense that giving back to our communities through volunteerism and community investment is woven into the very fabric of who we are.

Our employees

Throughout the year, employees participate in corporate giving initiatives that direct funds to national and local organizations in immediate need of funding and support.

We match our employees’ personal donations to Canadian registered charities and are proud to support employees whose volunteer efforts benefit communities across the country and the world. Whether they’re helping out at a local food bank or virtually mapping remote locations with the Canadian Red Cross, we provide time off work and volunteer grants for employees to engage in their communities — as individuals or as a team.

Our communities

Definity connects and engages with our communities by addressing important issues that affect them. We actively support our neighbours and the next generation through national partnerships and local contributions through our family of companies.

We encourage young people to pursue post-secondary education in communities across Canada through scholarship programs.

We improve and support the well-being of people across Canada — and their pets — through strategic partnerships.

We support the communities where we live and work through our network of brokers, employees, and community relationships.
